19 Weeks
How far along: 19 weeks (as of 4-22-14)
Maternity clothes: Yep!
Sleep: Sleep has been really good. I slept a lot this past weekend.
Best moment of this week: We had our anatomy scan last week. It was nice to see the baby. The doctor said everything looked great!
Miss anything: nope
Movement: not yet. When the doctor was listening to the heartbeat the baby kicked and we could hear the kick on the doppler. I didn't feel it though.
Food cravings: Mac & Cheese
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing food wise. The doctor gave me some beta blockers to help with my migraines. Ugh that was horrible. I ended up getting dizzy, queasy, light headed and felt like I was going to pass out. Thankfully after 48 hours it ended. I have been drinking smoothies every day. I am not sure if that is helping or if I had a good week but no migraines.
Have you started to show yet: nope
Gender: boy!!!
Belly button in or out: in I don't think it will ever be out.
Wedding rings on or off: on

BBQ Chicken Pizza
Last week I made BBQ chicken for dinner one night. My plan was to make additional chicken, so I could make BBQ chicken pizza. I <3 amp="" class="goog-spellcheck-word" fresh="" span="" style="background-color: yellow; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial;">Easy's3>
pizza dough! It is sooooo yummy! I bought the dough and wasn't going to use it before it expired. I threw it in the freezer for a few days. The night before I needed it I pulled it out of the freezer and let it defrost in the fridge.
I don't follow the instructions very well. It says to let the pizza dough come to room temperature before you stretch it out. I stretched it out when it was still cold, put my topping on top and popped it in the oven for 18 minutes. The crust was a little crispy which I love.
The pizza was very simple. I bought the dough, spread BBQ sauce over the top, shredded chicken, sliced mushrooms, sprinkled cheese and baked. I bought a Caesar Salad at Fresh & Easy. We got 3 meals off the salad kit.
Art bought this Uncle Si at Walmart for our upcoming vacation. My MIL bought the gnomes and wrote our names on them. The gnomes will go out to our garden soon.

OOTD
I have been struggling to find outfits now that I am pregnant. My body has changed even though the scale hasn't much. I really have done well for 19 weeks pregnant with my weight gain. Most of the weight gain has been in my boobs. My body has changed though in how things fit probably from all the bloating. I am trying to accessorize with things I have already.

Menu Monday
It is time to pull out the crockpot again this week.
Orange Chicken - I am going to put chicken thighs in the crockpot, pour Panda Express orange sauce over the chicken and cook for a few hours. I will serve with rice & steamed veggies.
BBQ Chicken - Same thing as above but using BBQ sauce.
BBQ Chicken Pizza - I will use leftover BBQ chicken
Costco Pineapple Sausages - I recently picked these up and they are super yummy!
I bought 5 pounds of chicken thighs at Costco 2 weeks ago, so it is time to use them. Art is going to be chickened out by the end of the week. My goal is to make enough to have leftovers for lunches.
I recently started doing a lot of shopping at Costco. Their prices are just so much better than the grocery store. I can buy enough sour cream for a month for less than I would pay for 2 grocery trips. Same with mayo and veggies.
Sammy especially loves it when I go to Costco to buy rotisserie chicken. He gets very excited when he comes home to smell "his" chicken. He thinks this chicken is all for him. He will walk around the kitchen whining each night until he gets chicken. Sometimes he doesn't feel it is enough, so he whines & whines for more. If he doesn't get chicken in his food he will go on a hunger strike. We have created a monster! I didn't buy a chicken this week manly because I am sick of it. When Bing Bong is born I think I will send someone to Costco to buy a chicken for Sammy. That should help him transition. lol

Bargains
I love a good bargain! I have followed My Frugal Adventure for a couple years. I usually check out MFA prior to my weekly Target trips. I look to see if there are any sales & coupons for items I need. Sometimes if someone is super cheap I might buy it if we use it.
I bought Art a champion tshirt once for $3. I think it was 2-3 years ago and the tshirt still looks great. He can always use plain colored tshirts. This week I needed dry shampoo. I use Suave dry shampoo weekly. They had it on sale for $2.86 buy 3 get a $5 giftcard. Well I use it anyhow, so I bought 3. I love using coupons, text offers and Cartwheel all at Target to save money. Last year alone I saved over $100 by using the Red Card. I go there as it is, so why not get more money off my purchase.
This week Target has baby wipes on sale for $1 for the refill packages. Cartwheel is offering 5% off plus 5% with my Target card. Art & I arrived at Target as it first opened. I cleared the shelf of the unscented wipes! After the cart was full I told Art go go go let's get out of here. lol
We have started to buy diapers to stock up. I asked my sister where I can find deals on where to buy diapers. She told me to check out The Krazy Coupon Lady. Rite Aid had a deal buy one get one 50% on Huggies diapers and wipes. I bought 2 packs of diapers and 2 packs of wipes for $20 plus I received $5 in Rite Aid Rewards.

Gender Reveal
On April 5 we went & had a ultrasound to find out if we were having a boy or a girl. I set up a poll to let our friends and family guess what they thought. It was 48% girl and 52% boy. In my gut I had felt it was a boy since the beginning. I had been praying for 5 years for a boy. I just knew it was going to be a boy because why would God give us a girl after all the begging I had done for a boy. lol The week of the ultrasound I started to question if really was a boy. I prepared myself for a girl. I thought well maybe we will have a girl because then we will have a second.
The week before the ultrasound I counted Cassie at La Douce Vie Cupcakery to make gender reveal cupcakes. We planned to tell Art's parents, Amber and Marcus Saturday evening after Amber & Marcus got off work. I thought it would be fun for them to find out after they bit into a cupcake and found pink or blue.
The cupcakes and cake below were made by Cassie. Vanilla cupcakes with a chocolate gnash center and butter cream frosting. mmmmm they were soooo yummy! The cake was AMAZING! I ate the cake about 4 days after it was made. The center was still very moist and oh so yummy. How cute are those bees? Kaleb thought the bees were candy for him to eat. He took a bite off one of the bees. lol
Amber bit into the first cupcake and saw the center was a BLUE! She yelled I knew it I knew it. Now Marcus you owe me $20. lol
It's a BOY!
We are so excited for our little son to be born! We are busy preparing for his arrival in September!

For This Child I Have Prayed!
When we first got married I felt it was important to wait a year before we started a family. We started trying to have a baby right a few months after our first anniversary. I've blogged about our struggles quite a few times.
It has been a struggle for almost five years. We have an army of children waiting for us in heaven. I always picture getting to heaven & nine little kids jumping up & down excited to see me. Each of those babies I had hopes & dreams for. I prayed for everyone of them. I cried every time we lost one. The hurt I felt over every miscarriage was just so deep.
There have been times I just couldn't understand why I had to go through so many miscarriages. It was so frustrating to me that women on drugs, abusive parents and teenagers were cranking out kids. Here am I begging God to just give me one baby.
Then 2013 came along with a whole other set of struggles. There was a time I considered never having children because of cancer. I struggled with is it fair to put a child through this burden? A wonderful doctor at UCSF told me move on with your life, have children & enjoy life to its fullest because something else other than cancer will probably take me. This started a whole conversation between Art & I. We decided to go for it & try to have a baby.
Two reasons I believe I'm pregnant.
1. God heard my prayers for 5 years. He put me through so many trials. I've really tried to learn through those trials. The miscarriage in October 2010 is what made Art & I start going to church. I'm not sure we ever would have gone to church if we hadn't been through that trial.
I read this verse the first part of 2014 & I just started crying. Elisabeth was considered barren, but God gave her a child. I clung to the second verse when I found out I was pregnant. Nothing is impossible with God. It got me through tough days when doubt would set in.
And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing shall be impossible. (Luke 1:36, 37 KJV)
Prayer it works! My parents prayed for me over 33 years ago. Around 28 years ago I started praying for a brother or sister. Four years later we got Lacey.
For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him: (1 Samuel 1:27 KJV)
2. I truly believe my thyroid cancer was causing the miscarriages. The doctors can't confirm or deny it. My gut tells me this played a HUGE part in my struggle.
The blog has suffered majorly since I've been exhausted and sick. I am not complaining but happy to have these symptoms.
I will write about telling our family, nursery ideas and weekly pregnancy posts. I have waited my entire life for this moment in time. I couldn't wait to get married as a little girl just so I could have a baby. I've wanted to be a mom since I can remember.
Today we found out we are having a little boy. It was a moment I won't ever forget. I always had little boy dolls and wanted boys. I screamed, clapped and then cried when they said it's a boy. It was worth everything over the past 5 years for this very moment! I would do it all over again if it brought me right here to where I am. God is good! This child is truly a miracle and I thank God for this baby every day.

Blurrrrrrr
It is getting harder & harder to take pictures of Kaleb. He is on the move! He is soooo much fun. I really like this age. On Saturday he was playing peekaboo, bubbles, digging in dirt, running around, jumping on the couch, dancing to music. Kaleb is talking more. One of his favorite words is ca ca. lol When he was playing in the dirt he kept yelling ca ca. I just cracked up laughing. He refuses to say Mimi, but says Andpa.
Right after this picture the toy was put away when he tried to hit Sammy. He thinks it is funny to kick Sammy too. Sammy doesn't find this entertaining.
Kaleb kept flinging his arms around, falling on the floor and jumping around. Art was saying hallelujah, praise Jesus and Kaleb was cracking up laughing. He kept going thinking it was funny.
Kaleb loves to watch Thomas the Train. He asks to watch woo woo. When the train blows the whistle he says woo woo. So cute! This is probably the only time he will sit down for more than 2 seconds. He will sit down for the show until the end of the show music comes on then it is dance time!
