Date Night at the Food Trucks

Art and I haven't been to the food trucks in about a year. I haven't even been falling them on Twitter anymore. A couple weeks ago we drove through San Leandro and saw a bunch of food trucks. We had a date night and went to the food trucks last Thursday night. There were about 10 trucks. I like to try different trucks each time I go.

I tried the Garlic Truffle Fries along with the Trio Tacos. Mmmmm the Garlic Truffle Fries were amazing.

I was suppose to share the fries with Art, but I ate most of them.

Art had the pastrami sandwich. It was really yummy!

I think we will try the food trucks again in a couple weeks. There are new ones that I would like to try.

Dinner Cruise

Back in November I bought 2 dinner cruise tickets from Amazon Local Deals. We were able to buy them for half off and could use them over the next year. I forgot about them for the longest time.  We went this past weekend. It was really nice! The food was a lot to be desired, but it was a nice evening riding around the Bay.

Waiting to take off!

I promise we are not high in this picture. We took a couple pictures and we looked drugged. The crazy flash on my iPhone just blinds you.

The cruise took us from Alameda to San Francisco. We drove past AT&T Park right as a baseball game was ending. Then we went along the city past the Port of San Francisco, under the Bay Bridge, past Treasure Island, past the Port of Oakland and back to Alameda. All together the cruise was about 3 hours long.  It was a nice evening and suggest a dinner cruise in San Francisco. It was beautiful at night seeing all the city lights! I see the city during the day, so it was nice to see it all lit up at night.

Joey + Rory

On Saturday night Art & I went out on a date.  The local radio station I listen to each morning was having an event a local winery with country song writers.  It sounded like a lot of fun.  I had worked most of the day on Saturday, so I wasn't really feeling up to going anywhere.  I thought it would be good for us to get out and not stay home again on a Saturday night.  We had the most enjoyable evening!

Joey + Rory are song writings from Tennessee.  They have written some famous songs. Here are a few of teh songs they have written the Chain of Love by Clay Walker, Some Beach by Blake Sheldon, and a Little More Country Than That by Kenny Chesney.  They have a great sense of humor and also have written some funny songs.

Joey was just so down to earth.  Sometimes I feel like CA people lack that down home quality....Joey had it!  Joey + Rory also brought along their friend Tim Johnson another famous song writer.  They all sang for about 2 and a half hours.  It was such a nice evening. Listened to music under the stars and relaxing.

We arrived right before it started and all the tables were full.  We ended up sitting on some stumps off to the side.  It was the perfect place to sit!
