I tell my employees at work all the time the above statement. They will come to me with an issues. My first thing is what are the client rules? They will tell me and I say ok there is your answer. NO we are not breaking the rules, NO we are not making exceptions, I don't care what that person excuse is FOLLOW THE RULES. There are some things in life where you just have to follow the rules. Work is one place those rules need to be enforced. If the rules aren't enforced you have a bunch of adult toddlers running around making havoc. If people would learn to enforce rules in their lives we wouldn't be dealing with nonsense on a daily basis.
