Unravel Pediatric Cancer!

Please take a moment to visit my fundraising page:

It was only 11 months ago when we found out little Jennifer had an inoperable and incurable brain tumor.  I prayed there would be a miracle and the doctors would be wrong.  Jennifer's mom Libby had become a very special person to me over the past couple years.  I will never forget the first time she called me encouraging me not to give up on my dream of becoming a mother.

I wanted to help raise money for pediatric cancer, so no other family has to ever lose a child to this ugly disease called cancer. I am just about to become a mother myself in the next couple days. We need to Unravel Pediatric Cancer, so no other family has to go through the pain of losing a child.

It will be difficult for me to spread the dragonflies all over with a newborn, but that doesn't mean I can't help raise money.

These dragonflies are spreading the word that September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Along with spreading awareness, they are busy raising funds on behalf of Unravel Pediatric Cancer a 501(c)(3) pending charitable organization.

Did you know?

  • Seven American children die from pediatric cancer every single day
  • More American children die of cancer than of AIDS, asthma, cystic fibrosis, diabetes and congenital abnormalities combined.
  • The NCI (National Cancer Institute), the federal department that allocates all of the federal cancer funding, spends less than 4% of its annual budget on pediatrics.

Funds raised in this campaign will go to researchers at Stanford Hospital, specifically Dr. Michelle Monje, Dr. Jim Olsen, the creator of Tumor Paint, at Project Violet and towards raising awareness via Unravel Pediatric Cancer. Please visit unravelpediatriccancer.org for more information and to read one family’s story.

How it works: For a suggested donation of $25, you can choose where these dragonflies land next!
