OOTD

The top on the right is from Nordstrom that retails for $128. Insert big eyes here! It fit so nice and felt amazing on. I just can't justify spending $128 on a linen tee that I will wear to the park with a toddler. I decided I needed to find something similar.

Well I was shopping at my favorite store Target one day and what do I find? A similar linen white & navy striped tee. And guess the price.....$12. WHAT! I just put it in my cart. I decided I would try it at home. It is so comfy! I like the fact it is vneck with a little pocket. I need to go back and buy it in some other colors. I really like longer tees. I don't want to bend over and show skin. It is nice to have a longer tee when you have to wrestle a little 20 month alligator who isn't getting his way.

All of these items are oldies, but goodies.

Tee: Target
Cardigan & Jeans: Old Navy
Sandals: Payless

I bought this top at Target the same day I bought the linen tee. I got the top on clearance for $13! Bargain! I really like blousy tops. They help me feel a little more put together. It is really comfy too.
I don't think I lasted more than an hour before I got something on it. Typical! Why do I think I can wear an all cream top. lol

Toddler Mini Golf

Have you ever tried to play mini golf with a toddler?

Well it's an adventure!  George thought he was supposed to chase after the balls and put them in the hole. We all golfed a lot better with George help! He was super adorable! I think we golfed about 5 holes then called it. We let George have fun instead.

How adorable is that Lil Golfer!

Vanilla Almond Milk Latte

I recently discovered Peet's Vanilla Almond Milk Latte's. O-M-G! Those things taste soooo delish! What I do not love is the fact they cost $5+ bucks for a medium. If you know one thing about me it is I am frugal. I needed to find a version of the vanilla almond milk latte that I could make at home. Well I found it! It is AMAZING! I love that I can make it at home, sit on the couch in my pjs and watch the Today show. I don't have to get dressed, put on make up, load up the toddler and drive to the local Peet's.

Here is the recipe I have been making.

1 cup strong coffee
1 cup of warm almond milk
1 teaspoon of honey
1 teaspoon of vanilla

I heat the almond milk, honey and vanilla in a pan until the edges start to boil. I pour the coffee and milk together. This is my favorite nap time drink!!!

Game Changer Eyeliner & Brow Liner

I rarely ever try new make up. I find what I like and stick to it. My sister had a Younique party recently. She raved about their amazing eyeliner. I saw a Youtube video of someone raving about the eyebrow pencils. I decided to try both of them.

Let me just say both of these items are game changers. I am very picky about eyeliner. It is one of the items that would be required to come on a deserted island with me. Eyeliner is a must. I wear it every.single.day. I don't like to spend more than $5 on an eyeliner. Younique's pencil eyeliners run about $15. Worth every single penny! They last aaaallllll day long. I have been putting it on around 8am and by 9pm it still looks amazing.

In the picture above the left side has the brow defined with the brow pencil. Can you tell the difference between the 2 eyebrows? It really is a game changer. I am not a big fan of filled in brows until I tried this product. Now I fill them in every day.

I will be purchasing both of these items again in the future. The next thing I want to try is their consealer. I only put consealer under my eyes, otherwise I don't wear any make up on my face. I found my skin stays much cleared if I don't put on foundations or powders. My sister bought the concealer, so I will be using it when I see her. If it is anything like the liners I will be making another purchase.

Rainy Day Bathtub Painting

Rainy days can be rough days with a toddler. What in the world do you do to keep them busy?

Bathtub painting for the win over here! I went to the Dollar Tree to buy some baby wash. I mixed 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, 1/8 cup of baby wash, 3 drops of food coloring and 1 teaspoon of water. Next time I will probably add a little more food color for richer colors.

I grabbed 2 paint brushes, paints, stripped G and headed to the bathtub. I put him in a diaper. We have had too many incidents with poop in the tub to put him in there naked. He wasn't sure what he was supposed to do at first. I painted a little on the wall. He got it and had a blast. One of the best thing is after he was done painting I ran a bath and he had a fun bubble bath. The paint washes right off. It didn't stain him at all.

The next day he woke up at 6am. He took me to the bathroom, pointed to the cabinet where I stored the extra paint and pointed to the tub. I told him it was waaaaaay too early to be painting at 6am. Thankfully he is easily distracted with milk and Blue's Clues.
