3. Turkey Burgers

5. 30 clove garlic chicken - Art is making this with cornish hens.

Candy Gram

I made a candy gram for Art this past weekend.  He is such a great husband and I wanted him to know how much I appreciate him!  I put the wording together with the help of a friend and headed off to the dollar store to find the candy.  I would suggest buying small candy bars instead of dollar store size.  Dollar store size takes up a lot of room on the poster board. I was able to squeeze it all in and it turned out super cute!

Awhile after I gave Art his candy gram I hear him coming through the backdoor.  Art says "Dear I feel like I should get you some flowers after the nice card you just made for me.  "Do you think you have a vase big enough for these flowers?"  Then I see a BIG bush of flowers coming through the backdoor. bahahahahaha   He cracks me up!!!!  Sorry dear those flowers are not going to be able to come inside the house.

Lasagna Soup

I found a recipe on the The Deen Brothers website for a lighter version of Lasgana Soup.  Guess what there is NO butter in this recipe....now what kind of recipe comes from the Deen's without butter?

I made this soup last week and we both really loved it.  It was super easy to make also.  I used tomatoes from our garden instead of using canned tomatoes and tomatoe sauce. I also used mini shells instead of lasagna noodles.  I made a few changes and it turned out delish!

Additional Sprucing in the Kitchen

I decided to finishing sprucing up the kitchen window.  I asked my MIL to save the Starbuck bottles for a future DIY project.  I had bought some 1, 2, 3 #'s from Groopdealz that have been sitting in the craft room.  I put the #'s on the mini bottles.  Here are pictures of the kitchen window.

Fashion Fall Favorites

I really love the mustard color for Fall.  Unfortantely the color does not look nice on me when it comes to clothes.  Assessories will work though!

I just bought this adorable mustard purse from Shoedazzle.

I <3 Houndstooth!  These are on my Christmas List!
I bought these snakeskin flats at Old Navy for $7.

LOVE this sweatshirt!!!!  A little too costly for me.

I am loving the cute knee socks!

Trouser jeans are a must for Fall.

Honey Pork & Sesame Greens

I found a recipe on Pinterest for Chinese Honey Chicken.  I had some pork thawed in the fridge, so I thought I would try to make Chinese Honey Pork.  It turned out pretty good.  To go along with the pork I used Krystal's Sesame Green Bean recipe.  I had bought some frozen veggies and thought it was only green beans. Ooops it had mushrooms and broccoli too!  That is what happens when you don't pay attention.

I have made the Sesame Green Beans before with fresh green beans, which is the best!  I love this recipe.
Here are the links to the recipes:

Sprucing up the Kitchen Window!

Groopdealz had a deal recently where they sold the Nest vinyl for a couple bucks.  I bought one and have been on the hunt for a plate to put it on.  I found a plate at the thrift store for a couple bucks.  Once I had the plate decorated then the tea pot next to it looks rather blah.

Earlier this year I bought the love bird vinyl from Groopdealz.  It has sat in my craft room for months.  I couldn't fit love & the birds on the tea pot. I put the birds on the tea pot and add the love to a small plate I bought at the thrift store.

The window in the kitchen if finally getting a little spruced up!
