1. Cheryl's Cookies

 

Have you tried these mouthfuls for happiness? Cheryl's cookies are super soft, buttery, delicious cookies. Last week a vendor sent me a box of theses cookies. The day I opened them I put them away in my office because I wasn't sure I could share them. lol  Well I shared them with my staff. Everyone LOVED them!

2011 & 2012 were the years for meeting A08 girls! I love it when I get to meet my friends in person. Two weeks ago I was able to meet Nami. It is rather funny when I say meet her. We text, FB and chat on our A08 board almost daily. I have known some of these girls for 5+ years, but just haven't met them in person. Isn't Nami just adorable?  She is 9 months pregnant....isn't she tiny!!!! It was a fun night of chatting away! I can't wait to see her again when I go back to So Cal.

This is my motto for the rest of 2012!

Ugh!

I was wondering why the heater kept running all morning. I had it set at 64. Well it is only in the 30's. Every time I complain about the weather I pull up where my parents live. Holy bazooka it's only 12 in Beulah. YIKES!

Outfits

I was searching Pinterest to find a cute outfit for my birthday dinner at the Melting Pot. I found the picture on the right of the collage below. Pleated skirt, gray sweater, leopard belt, faux leather jacket, polka dot tights and booties!

I am loving me some glittery clothes! I recently bought glitter booties and a glitter skirt. I am waiting for the skirt to come in the mail. I am part of a style & beauty group that ends up hurting my bank account. They post cute stuff and deals. The glitter booties were on sale cheap and I just had to have them.  I made the red skirt and the sweater is from Target.

Birthday Dinner

I have been wanting to go to the Melting Pot for a very long time. I asked Art to take me there for my birthday. I wasn't sure what exactly to expect, but I was excited to try fondue. I have chocolate fondue many times.

 

Off we headed to the Melting Pot. It was DELISH! To start we had cheese fondue with bread, veggies and apples. Apples and cheese fondue is AMAZING!!!! It is my new favorite thing to eat.

Beef, pork, buffalo chicken, shrimp, lobster tail, veggies and 6 dipping sauces. mmmmm

 

DESSERT! I LOVE marshmallows & chocolate. Amazing!

 

 

We had a 4 course meal. The flavors were all amazing! It was a lot of fun and very delicious! We will go back in the future!

Besties!

Last week I was in So Cal for a full week training some new employees. When I travel to So Cal for work I live for the night lift. I usually get to see numerous different friends and family. Each night I am off to see someone and my social life is booked!  I was able to see Krystal and Elena for a couple hours. The last time I saw Elena she was about a month old. She is so grown up, adorable, sweet, and full of smiles.

I brought her a Christmas present with a new outfit and a Jessie doll. Recently she watched Toy Story. Krystal told me she really liked it. I found a Jessie doll at the Disney store, so I had to get it for her. She seems to really like Jessie and recently brought Jessie shoe shopping with her daddy. How adorable!  Here are some pictures from our night together.

Christmas Cakes!

Growing up every Christmas my cousins in North Dakota, my siblings and me would wrap up Little Debbie snack cakes and give them to each other. We would cheer if we got our favorite ones! lol  The Christmas Little Debbie's had gift tags on the back we would cut out to use the next year. This all seems soooo ridiculous now.

I received a package the other day from my cousin Gina. I ripped it open and guess what was inside? A box of Christmas Tree Cake Little Debbies! She wrote a note
Becky, Merry Christmas. Don't forget to use the gift tags on the back.

This made my night! Soooo funny and brought back so many memories!

 

Crack Jack Cookies

One of my favorite cookies my grandma use to make are called Crack Jack Cookies. mmmmm they are soooo yummy!!!! I love the little crunch from the rice krispies and the coconut taste. I couldn't remember what the cookies were called and grandma had NO clue what I was talking about. lol  Luckily one of my cousin knew which cookies I needed the recipe for and sent it to me. I made this a couple weeks ago. Art said they are his second favorite cookies.

 

 

1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
2 C. flour
1 C. coconut
2 C. oatmeal
2 C. rice krispies

 

Mix all ingredients together, drop by teaspoons onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for about 12-15.

Reef Fishing

Art and I went reef fishing while we were in the Bahamas. Reef fishing is for littler fish. We caught a lot of sand fish, which are used as bait. We caught some yellow tail snapper, grunt, and a trigger fish. Art actually out fished me this time around. My reason for not catching fish was because I wasn't letting my line down low enough. Ugh!!!! If I had let my line all the way to the bottom I would have out fished Art. lol

Isn't that fish just beautiful! The colors were soooo bright. Art didn't keep this fish. The fishing guide said trigger fish are very hard to skin. That fish had some massive teeth. They were as big as Sammy teeth. lol
