Pizza Truck!

Casey's Pizza is a food truck in SF. I tried their pizza last week Tuesday. I usually have the worst luck and see them once I have eaten. The line was pretty long and people just kept coming. I had to taste that pizza!!!!  Mmmmmm it was delish!

The long haired dude does not come with the pizza. lol He was annoying me because he kept hanging out in front of the truck. I was trying to take a picture at first to send to Danielle. I love to torture her with food truck pictures. 

I give this place a 2 thumbs up! I have started following them on twitter, so I can find them during the week.

Black Skinny Pants....my favorites!

Recently I bought a pair of skinny cropped black pants at Target. They are my FAVORITES!!!! They are SUPER comfy, wash up nice and hold their shape. I wish they had more because I would go back to buy another pair. Unfortunately they sold out of the blue before I could get there to get them in my size. I do LOVE the black ones I did buy. 

I am loving skinny pants. I like the way they fit and I find them to be slimming. I am waiting for Gap to offer 20 or 30% off, so I can buy the always skinny black pants. I was going to buy them this past weekend at the store. At the store they are $69.99, online they are $49.99, and at the outlet they were on sale for $35.00. If I can make it to the outlet I might have to pick up a pair. The bad part is they don't carry the petite in the store. I don't want to spend $50 bucks on a pair of pants and then pay to have them hemmed. I just hate spending money to have pants hemmed and I am far too lazy to be hemming anything! 

Menu Monday

I am back to traveling for work again.......I remember when I was in my early 20's I thought traveling for work was glamorous. Then I started doing it and found out how awful it truly is! When I travel my schedule gets so thrown off. 3 weeks ago I traveled for work and I haven't been back to the gym since then. AWFUL!  I am determined to get back on my schedule and start heading to the gym 4-6 times a week. 


May is such a busy month for Art and I with work. I will be traveling again here soon for work. I have to move our LA office. That is going to take some work and require me to be in LA to get it all organized. Art is very busy in an extensive training session at work. Every other week he is in class. The good part of him being in class is they provide lunch. SCORE! I get a week pass of making his lunch. 


I have started freezing some meals for Art, while I am gone.  This next week Art will get to enjoy some frozen meals.

COOKIE ARRIVED!!!!

Remember my post about wondering when Cookie was going to make their debut? How I couldn't take it anymore and I wanted to know if Cookie was a boy or a girl?  Last Friday I woke up around 5am to numerous text from Krystal saying she was in labor! I had actually woke up at 1:30 and thought oh Krystal is going to wake up in an hour and a half for her nightly bathroom break. lol The crazy things I think of in the middle of the night. Now if I had just woke up 20 minutes later I would have seen the first text from Krystal. She started sending them around 1:50am and they continued until 8am. Oh the anticipation was KILLING me!

One on of my visit I looked at Krystal and thought she is having a girl!  I just knew Cookie would be a girl.    Finally around 9:30ish I received a text along with a picture saying Cookie had arrive and it was a GIRL!!!!  YES!!! Ruffles, lace, pink and frills were on the shopping list!  

Little Elena Antonia arrived on April 27. I am going to get to see her later this week and I can hardly wait!!!! Her first tutu is already purchased and by the suitcase!

Personal Shopper

Remember the ring I posted this past Sunday that my friend Maria sent me?  

Well Maria is back at the flea markets this weekend and she was tweeting about it. I think she enjoys torturing me with tweets about cheap jewelry she finds. Today she tweeted about $1 jewelry.  WWWWHHHHAAAATTTT!!!!

I told her I had a list and to text me. lol I sent her pictures of the items I had stolen from J. Crew website. The 2 bracelets below cost about $200 together. That is a STEEP price to pay for 2 bracelets. I sent her the pictures and asked her to see if she can find any knock offs. 

I am hoping she is lucky enough to find something close. What is on your shopping list for this weekend?

Man Bouquet

Most men aren't fond if their wives sending then flowers. I made Art a man bouquet for his birthday with alcohol and chocolate. He loved his bouquet! It was super easy to make too!

Happy Birthday to the bestest husband ever!

Happy Birthday to my amazing husband!!!! I asked him he wanted to go out to dinner or did he want me to cook some specific. He asked for meatloaf and mash potatoes. Easy enough...so that is what we are having for dinner.

Craziest Beauty Product

Recently I read the CRAZIEST beauty secret to help keep your face dry all day long. Put a little bit of milk of magnesia on a cotton ball and rub it on your face. WHAT!!!! I thought there is NO way this would work and wouldn't your face get sticky from the stuff?  

I have issues with my forehead getting super greasy as the day goes on. My nose also gets a little greasy too.  I do not wear foundation or powder on my face. In my teens and early 20's I always used foundation. I had issues with my forehead and jawline breaking out often.  Some of the break outs could have been my age, hormones and the way I ate. In my middle 20's I stopped using foundation completely.  On rare occasions I will use foundation. Once I stopped using foundation on a daily basis my breakouts stopped. I also wasn't ever a fan of using foundations/powders in the summer. I do not like to sweat and have brown gunk running down my face. YUCK!

I decided I would give this $3.99 beauty tip a try! This could be one of the cheapest ways to cut grease lol  I bought the name brand at Target because the generic was sold out. I buy generic brands 90% of the time to save on cost. Typically the generic products are exactly the same. 

I used it on Sunday. Rubbed it over my forehead and nose. My face wasn't sticky at all. I kept testing out my forehead through the day to see if it was sticky....nope!  Sunday was a rather warm day and got up to about 76. I took a nap, woke up and my face was still dry. I tend to be a very warm sleeper, so I thought that might be the test of the milk of magnesia. My face was dry until I washed it around 7pm. AMAZING! No grease at all where I applied it! 

I read some reviews where women couldn't use it straight because it started to dry out their skin. You can do a mixture of half MoM and water. Or use it every other day. It all depends on your skin type. Experiment to see what works best for you. The amount used is such a small amount it will take forever to use the bottle.   

I <3 this stuff and I plan to use it daily on my forehead!!

Week of Iphone Photos

Photo 1 - My friend Maria tweeted a picture of a ring she bought at a flea market. I replied with hey I want one. Guess what came in the mail? The adorable ring! What a great friend!!! I <3! Thank you Maria!

Photo 2 - I am officially elderly. In order to see far away I have to wear my glasses. I was looking out my window at work the other day and had NO idea what the sign on the bus said. I put my glasses on and I could see perfectly. ugh!

Essie Nail Polish

I have been a BIG fan of Essie nail polish for close to 2 years now. I have even got my friends convinced this is the best nail polish around! Just the nail polish on my fingers will last about 3 days before I start getting little chips. I am lucky if any other nail polish will last 1-2 days without starting to chip. 

I was thinking about getting a manicure and getting the gel polish. One of my friends told me not to do it because your nails get super week. She suggested just getting a good base and top coat.  Well I have tried top coats in the past and didn't like them. The problem is they just peal right off and the nail polish then peals. I haven't tried base coats though. I figured I better give it a try before I try gel nails.

Ulta sent me a 20% off my entire purchase. Oh I LOVE Ulta! I decided to pick up the Essie base coat and give it a try. Well let me tell you I am SOLD on base and top coats. 

Here is a picture of my nails after 4 days with Essie base coat, Essie Fiji and Essie top coat. I had been traveling and they looked amazing after 4 days. I will be using a base and top coat going forward!

Bart Happening Week 11

There were LOTS of seats on this particular day on Bart, but these 2 people insisted on sitting on the grubby floor. YUCK! It always irritates me when people sit on the floor. I rarely even put bags on the floor. I would have to go home and scrub myself with bleach.

Macaroons & Blue Tongues

Last week I was able to spend a couple days with Krystal. She had mentioned she was making macaroons. I asked her to save me some. I <3 me some macaroons and fresh are the very best!  When I arrived she had blueberry peanut butter and jelly macaroons. O-M-G!!!  I love anything peanut butter!!!!

 Krystal's husband Eric was laughing at me because my entire tongue turned blue!  I think I ate 5 of them the first day. Then I asked her to please put them away before I finished them off. 

Krystal is due on May 9. I can't wait for little Cookie to come into the World, so I can buy pink or blue. Why do my friends insist on being team green and keeping me in suspense??

Menu Monday

I haven't really planned out my meals for 2 weeks. I traveled for work last week Monday through Wednesday. I just don't feel I have been able to get back into the swing of things.  I have thrown some ideas together and grabbed a few things at the store for meals. Art is in training all week, so I don't have to make him lunches.
